Soils & pasture production – Joel Williams

The West Gippsland Progress Association have been able to organise Joel Williams to speak to local farmers at a workshop at Bunyip on March 12th. Join us for an enlightening day as Joel takes the stage to share his wealth of knowledge and expertise in agroecology, plant nutrition, and the intricate world of plant and soil microbiomes.

Joel Williams is an independent plant & soil health educator and consultant who has worked extensively in Australia, Europe and Canada where he is currently based.
He has a keen interest in agroecology, plant nutrition and plant and soil microbiomes and how these may support the development of sustainable production systems. Joel has a Bachelor of Agricultural Science specialising in plant and soil dynamics and an MSc in Food Policy where he explored motivations and barriers to the adoption of intercropping.
Joel has a passion for teaching and sharing a combination of scientific and practical information and has lectured to farming audiences internationally.

Key Sessions Include:
• Multi-Species Pastures: Explore the benefits and strategies for cultivating diverse pastures that contribute to healthier ecosystems and more resilient farming practices.
• Optimising Plant Nutrition for Pasture Production: Learn the art and science of maximising plant nutrition to enhance pasture yields and soil health.
• Foliar Fertilisers and Bio stimulants: Uncover the secrets behind these valuable tools and their role in promoting robust plant growth and vitality.
