Organic Vegie/Fruit growers Disc Group – Grasser farm at Hallston

You are invited to attend our next organic vegie/fruit growers discussion group at Gerhard Grasser’s farm on Wed 1st May.
Gerhard is a passionate organic farmer and advisor, and has been an active contributor to our group since formation.
Gerhard purchased the farm in 2006 which is nestled deep in the Strzelecki ranges. Alongside his son he ran it as a dairyfarm with free range pigs for 10 years before leasing it out in more recent times.
Gerhard is passionate about compost, soil biology and has experience with seaweeds, fish & compost teas. Gerhard will show us his compost tea brewer, and applicator, and we may even look at microbiology through a microsope.
Gerhard has an extensive revegetation program in place, and a permaculture vegetable garden for his own use.
There will be plenty to see and discuss. Everyone is welcome to attend this very interesting farm.
Allow plenty of time to get there as the roads are a bit bendy and the views magnificent!
