Water on Farms Field day – Jindivick & Neerim District Landcare Groups

All welcome to attend and learn from some of the best speakers on research that is being conducted in our region on water!
 Benita Kelsall (AgVic) – Farm water requirements and information on farm dams and storage
 Rob Sargeant (Monash Uni) – results of current research on pollution & their sources in the Tarago catchment
 Helen Barclay (enviroDNA) – new methods to monitor biodiversity in waterways through DNA monitoring
 Andrew Stanton (Baw Baw Shire) – wastewater & septic options for landholders
 Steve Haughton (Habitat Creations) – planting wet areas (what species to use etc)

We will visit the Neerim South wetlands after lunch to view different plant species and to conduct some water monitoring through enviroDNA methods.
