Sustainable Farming Discussion Group – Caldermeade

You are invited to the next WPCLN Sustainable Farming discussion group at John, Faye & Rob Clements farm at Caldermeade.
John & Rob will be our hosts and look forward to welcoming the group to their farm.
Due to the large size of the farm, we will be driving along farm laneways, and then stopping at various sites of interest. The farm has significant frontage to Westernport Bay & is very exposed, so we will look at shelterbelts. The soil is amazing black peat and we will drill a soil core to well over 1m depth and have a chat about the soil, and we will look at a salinity area. John will talk about the breeding herd, and how he manages them with minimal inputs. He will also talk about practice changes he has made after participating in the 2020 regenerative training program. An interesting morning is assured!
