Around the world, innovative farmers are doing great things to make food production more sustainable, both ecologically AND economically. ‘Polyfaces’ is an Australian film about the Salatin family (Virginia, USA) and their highly diverse and productive farm.
Using ecological principles, animals in symbiotic relationships and direct marketing, Polyface Farm regenerates soil and landscapes and rebuilds the local community and food economy. The Polyface model produces a great variety and quantity of healthy organic food. Perhaps more importantly, it creates a new generation of skillful farmers and provides an inspiring model for sustainable food systems everywhere.
Proceeds from the film screening will go towards supporting a sustainable farming training course for subsistence farmers led by “Beyond Subsistence” https://www.facebook.com/beyondsubsistence/ volunteers & local blokes Peter Ronalds and Clinton Tepper, who will be heading off to Zimbabwe in late June. Arrive at 7:20pm to hear Peter say a few words about his upcoming trip before the film screens. We will be serving a light supper following the film. Book tickets here for this great event: https://
