Organic vegie/Fruit growers disc group – minimal till experiment at Cafresco organics

All farmers welcome to attend our next organic growers discussion group on Thurs 30th Sep.
Maurie & Maria Cafra set up a demonstration last summer to trial minimal till practices on their organic vegetable farm at Koo Wee Rup.
The purpose of the demonstration was to grow several green manure crop mixes, terminate (kill) the green crop through rolling, then direct sow seeds/seedlings into the green manure crop trash, and grow a healthy and productive crop.
Maurie will present the methods implemented, and the challenges, outcomes and learnings.
As COVID restrictions continue to prevent us from meeting physically on farm, we will meet ‘on-line’ to keep us connected and to support & learn from each other!
There will be time for Q&A and discussion with Maurie!
