Natural Capital Accounting- Soil method – Discussion and farm walk – Moyarra

As part of the Smart Farming in Western Port project, the Bass Coast Landcare Network is running a farm walk to learn about Natural Capital Accounting on farms and all farmers are invited.

Natural Capital Accounting methods have been developed for assessing both vegetation and soils on farm which can be turned into accounting terms that may attract future funding incentives and trading opportunities. The farm walk will feature Karen Thomas from the PPWCMA, who will talk us through the Accounting for Nature and Landcare (Level 3) Natural Capital Accounting process. This will be followed by respected regenerative agriculture consultant, Declan McDonald, who will facilitate a farm walk and demonstrate the soils method that has been developed for the program.

This should be an interesting farm walk and we look forward to seeing you there.
