The next Morn Pen Farmer Discussion Group will feature Chris Alenson talking on ‘Deep Time and the Implication for Sustainable Agriculture’
The concept of Deep Time suggests that an understanding of geological time that covers millions of years may provide us with a renewed enthusiasm to embrace sustainable development realising that all our resources are derived from geological environments that will not be
repeated in our human time frame.
Given that many of our agricultural resources, soils, water and fertilisers are products of deep time, Chris implores us to consider whether there are implications based on this concept that might catalyse our approach to a sustainable agricultural system.
A thought provoking morning is guaranteed!
