Keeping Carbon on Farms – Phillip Island

May 18, 2016 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Clarifying carbon retention in plain English. Learn from some of the industry innovators about how to harness CARBON to increase production on farm. This field day is a not-to-be-missed opportunity for farming landholders.
The Davie family are passionate about having the healthiest livestock, grazed off cost effective pasture and crops, and completely removing their environmental carbon footprint; all achieved through an open minded and flexible approach.
On the first trial paddock, the Total Organic Carbon has improved from 160 tonnes/ha to 220 tonnes/ha within three years.
This FREE field day will be hosted by Bob and Anne Davie at the Bimbadeen family property on Phillip Island. A barbecue lunch with meat supplied by Gippsland Natural will provide an opportunity for landholders to network with each other, the hosts and the industry innovators.
