Compost under vine spreads benefits – Tuerong

May 6, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 1:30 pm

Compost has now been spread for 2 consecutive years on our 3 trial sites. Some amazing benefits have been observed and measured. Joe Vaughan from 100Hunts Vineyard will showcase how the use of compost under vine over the last 2 years has benefited his vineyard. Declan McDonald has spent many years conducting compost trials and has a wealth of analytical knowledge on its use and benefits. Declan will present his interpretation of the results from these trials to date. Federal Minister for the Environment Greg Hunt MP will be attending to hear more about how the trials funded through the National Landcare Programme, are providing real data and results with the number of vineyards on the Peninsula using compost mulch rising by over 50% in the last 12 months.
