Get involved in investigating farm dam biodiversity using eDNA
Every creature leaves traces of their DNA in their surrounding aquatic or terrestrial environment, through skin cells, hair, and other bodily secretions. This is environmental DNA (eDNA).
In spring 2018, Jindivick and Neerim District locals visited 16 dams, collecting 54 eDNA water samples to test for wildlife. Please join
us for our autumn 2019 sampling event!
When: Thursday 4th April 2019, 9.30am – 1pm with lunch
Where: Meet at Neerim Sth wetlands at 9.30am sharp.
