Phillip Island Community Orchard – Organic Horticultural Demonstration Project Field Day

Funded through the Demonstrating Sustainable Farm Practices Project, the Phillip Island Community Orchard is hosting a field day to showcase the success of its Organic Horticultural Demonstration Project.

Guest speakers include:
• Adrian James- project manager of the Phillip Island Community Orchard Organic Horticulture Trial.
• Chris Alenson- agricultural consultant and educator on soil health with over 35 year’s experience, owns and operates an ecologically managed farm in Macclesfield.
• Gill and Meredith Freeman- Long term residents of South Gippsland for over 20 years and founders of Grow Lightly over a decade ago. Heavily involved in sustainability projects of all sorts, including in energy, bushfoods, horticulture/permaculture and community development.

Event Details
Date: Saturday February 18 th
Time: 10 am to 2pm (including lunch)
Venue: Phillip Island Community Orchard. Look out for the Landcare event sign.
Lunch provided.
