WPCLN Sustainable Farming Discussion Group goes on-line!
May 14, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 10:30 am
All farmers welcome to attend our first on-line discussion group & farm walk!
Unfortunately as a group we currently can’t meet in a physical sense, so in this interim period we will meet ‘on-line’ to keep us connected, and to support & learn from each other!
So how will this work?
We are videoing a group participant & the host farmer will take us on a farm walk & talk about their farm! The 15-20 minute video will be put on YouTube & then a few days later we will have an online chat (with Zoom) to ask the farmer questions, see each other & share how we are all managing.
Our first farm walk is with Geoff Gee at Pakenham South.
Geoff has been growing lucerne for over 50 years and also grows sunflowers for bird seed alongside a beef herd & hay contracting business. Geoff is an amazing guy & as we walk his farm he shares his story and experience with growing lucerne and sunflowers. This is a great video, and Geoff shares some great nuggets of wisdom!
