Every creature leaves traces of their DNA in their surrounding aquatic or terrestrial environment, through skin cells, hair, and other
bodily secretions. This is environmental DNA (eDNA). Josh Griffiths (platypus expert) will be guiding us on the day
The farm dams eDNA program was an outstanding success & identified some endangered species living on farm dams.
We are expanding the program to monitor 3 permanent creeks in the Jindivick & Neerim areas that feed into the Tarago Reservoir.
Everyone is invited to participate in the NEW eDNA creek monitoring program.
