Sustainable Farming Discussion Group at Deb & Fergus farm

All farmers are invited to the next WPCLN Sustainable Farming discussion group at Deb & Fergus O’Connor’s farm at Berrys Creek.
Fergus & Deb own a beautiful property at Berrys Creek in South Gippsland. They run a herd of approx 150 steers on their 150 acres and sell them at approx 550kgs. When they purchased their farm 10 years ago it was covered in blackberries, wild radish and californian thistles. They soil test regularly, and now have productive pastures. All the springs and dams have been fenced off, and they have planted over 19,000 trees. They even have koalas on their farm!
This is a very unique farm, and a credit to Deb & Fergus. A very interesting morning is assured!
Berry Creek is located between Mirboo Nth & Leongatha. As it will be a slightly longer drive for some, feel free to car pool and enjoy the drive.
Fergus & Deb have also offered to put on a bbq lunch so RSVP would be appreciated for this one!
