Sustainable Farming Disc Group – Longwarry

November 10, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 pm

The next WPCLN Sustainable Farming Discussion Group will be held at Chris & Sharon Jordan’s farm.

Chris and Sharon own ‘Ten-Rose’ Simmental stud and run a breeding herd on their farm at Longwarry. This is a
fascinating farm with some really impressive cattle. Their aim is to breed the highest Genomic, EBV & Index cattle
on a global basis and as a result, their cattle have sold throughout Australia and the world.

“Everything we compile at Ten-Rose, we do because we believe in challenging the cattle industry.  We think differently and challenge the status quo by creating cattle that are beautifully bred for beef production with a driven focus on Quality and Tenderness Genomics. We feel the greatest commitment to farming is holistic management of cattle and the land. Sustainability. Respect for each other, animals and respect for the environment“.

We will have a farm walk and view the cattle, pastures & soils.

An interesting morning is assured! Feel free to bring a sandwich & continue discussions over lunch!
