Organic Vegie/Fruit Growers Disc Group – Warragul South

You are invited to attend the next organic vegie/fruitgrowers discussion group at Gordon & Lyn Jones Potato Farm.
The Jones family has been growing potatoes in Warragul in West Gippsland for four generations. The farm produces a variety of potatoes for farmer’s markets and small order retail as well as certified seed and processing potatoes.
Over the last 20 years they have moved away from the conventional farming practice of relying on synthetic inputs, focusing on more sustainable, traditional methods including weed control by cultivation. When we visited their farm in June 2015 they were in the early stages of converting a section of their farm to organics and now have potatoes that are grown on a certified organic section of their farm.
This will be an interesting afternoon and all welcome!
