Morn Pen farmers discussion group – La-Niña – What does it mean for our farm?

October 31, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am

Climate variability is one of the biggest challenges in agriculture. One season too dry; the next too wet. From frost to heatwaves, each extreme has its own risk. While it is impossible to control the weather, a better understanding of climate risk can help primary producers minimise its potential to impact on their business.

For our next discussion via Zoom, we welcome special guest Luke Shelley from the BoM’s Agriculture Program. The BoM has recently developed a climate guide for our region.

Luke will take us through the data from our region and we can consider how we might use these historical records for our decision making, on and off farm.
