Dung Beetle Field Day – Bunyip

In 2015, five landholders from the Cannibal Creek Landcare Group and one landholder from Officer took part in a Dung Beetle release trial, come along and learn about the trial and lessons learnt.

John Feehan, a world renowned dung beetle expert, will talk about the importance of dung beetles and how they play a key role in our environment. They are specialist recyclers and help to make farming soils healthier and more productive and can also help to improve the quality of water on the farm. John will also talk about how to look after beetles on your property including best practice management of pesticides and herbicides.
