Join Sustainable Farms ecologists Dr Mason Crane and Colleen O’Malley from the Australian National University for a webinar to learn about:
– Sustainable Farms surveys and studies into shelter belt design and enhancement
– Benefits of shelter belts on woodland birds and how that can be enhanced
– The role shelter belts can play in supporting beneficial insect communities on farms – critters such as the dung beetle, hoverflies and predatory mites and how a shelter belt can support them!
The discussion will focus on how this applies to agricultural landscapes within the North East Vic, South West Slopes, Central Tablelands & Murray-Riverina.
