Bioferts practical workshop 2 (overflow workshop – for farmers only)

April 4, 2023 @ 9:30 am - 2:30 pm

Please note this is the second workshop as the first workshop was oversubscribed. Over the past couple of years we have had Grant Sims, Owen Billings and Andre Leu speak to us. All these farmers have been making and using bioferts successfully on their farms, and we also saw some practical applications on the East Gippsland Farm tour.

This is a hands-on workshop will help you learn more about bioferts, and how to make them.

Daniel Hodges will be leading this workshop. He makes bioferts and fulvic and humic products for a large organic market garden, and a local dairy farmer.

At the workshop you will:

  1. Learn about different biological products (biostimulants, biofertilisers and innoculants).
  2. Learn how to make a range of biofertilisers on farm.
  3. Make 20litre batches and learn how to upscale to 1000litre shuttles (some basic notes will be provided)
  4. Learn how to make Humic acid
  5. Learn how to add seaweed, and sulphates.
  6. Take home your biofert that you make on the day
  7. Receive basic equipment to make your own

Key notes;

  • This workshop is geared towards those who are planning on trialling bioferts for their own farm.
  • Bioferts are not a replacement for major nutrients
