BCLN – Hops into Bass Field Day – Trialing the Growing of Hops in Bass Coast

Funded through the Demonstrating Sustainable Farm Practices Project, the Bass Coast Landcare Network is hosting a field day to showcase their Hops trial project in Bass. The field day will also visit the Loch Brewery and Distillery to learn about the Brewing process and sample some of the local produce.
Guest speakers include:
Robbie Gray- Hops Trial Project Manager, Bass Coast Landcare Network.
Chris Alenson- Agricultural consultant and educator on soil health with over 35 year’s experience.
Craig Johnson- Owner Loch Brewery and Distillery.
David Ziebell- Long term South Gippsland resident with 20 year’s experience in the growing and harvesting of Hops.
Date: Saturday February 25 th
Time: 10 am to 2.15pm (including lunch)
Venue: Meet at the Bass Coast Landcare Network office at 10am. 2-4 Bass School Road, Bass. (in between the Bass Hall and the Bass OP Shop.
Look out for the Landcare event sign. Lunch provided.
Cost: $20 per participant.
