A Day on the Farm!

On Sunday 5th June, you are invited to Trevor and Anne-Marie Mills’ dairy farm in Drouin South to spend a few hours relaxing in great company, learning about our vital dairy industry and how a dairy farm works while sharing delicious local food.
This event is geared towards the family and includes lunch made with local produce! The Mills’ family farm is well regarded & in 2015 they won the “Landcare Sustainable Farming Award” for Victoria! Their farm is a showcase in sustainability. They also installed a robotic dairy 2 years ago. The cows just wander in and are milked when they feel like it – kind on the cows and the farmer!
So much to learn and experience. This family friendly event is only $6 per person and that includes a lovely warm meal. This is a wonderful opportunity to teach our kids about where food comes from.
